Has anyone noticed that there is a considerable lack of jobs for podiatrists in NZ especially in Auckland. I have been for several interviews and have sent my CV to numerous practices but no one has got back to me (Its been over a year now). There are some people that offer you promise you the opportunity at interviews but after the interview is done you never hear from them again. In the end its not what you know but who you know. The situation here is so bad that I have reconsidered podiatry now as a career and I may be applying to do medicine.

    Hi Holah123,
I think it's a little similar down here in Chch, not what you know but who you know. Lots of the pods have had to relocate after the quakes, are consolidating and the winter is a quiet patch.
Although I've heard of a few people moving away to Oz.
