The gym that brought New Yorkers "Cardio Striptease" has dreamed up "Stiletto Strength," a workout to get women in shape to wear the highest of heels.

At a recent lunch-time session at Crunch gym near Times Square, dancer Amber Efe demonstrated how to strut like a cat-walk model, pivoting on six-inch heels that would challenge even the most ardent follower of shoe king Manolo Blahnik.........

I see there was a piece in the UK papers about the dangers of heels and chilbrith. This myth was debunked about a century ago as was many of the other associations between heels and health. But they still seems to linger.
As to exercising in heels there is strong inference that standing on a elevated heel could benefit toning in musculature of the pelvic area which in turn could be useful in continence training. So don't throw your high heels away, Granny.

Kegels in stilettos. Oh dear, my eyes are watering.

  4. I'll make sure I wear my ballet spikes to the gym in future. Always wondered how you managed that trim and toned physique!

New UK comedy movie out here is called High Heels. Same people that did Calandar Girls have made this film. The story is about a shoe factory (somewhere in England) which needs to change its production line from conservative gentleman's shoes to the more riske, high fashion boots for cross dressors. Seen the coming attraction and it certainly looks as if the film has its moments

The best kept secrets are in heels.

There was just a new story on the national Channel 10 news!!!! ... the 'craze' is spreading!!!

  7. The UK title is "Kinky Boots" which probably says something about the prevailing British attitude towards sex and footwear of a fetishistic nature. What advice do colleagues offer when an attractive young lady attends a consultation wearing 6" spikes?
