HealthWalks Inc. has been the leader in foot care in Northern Nova Scotia for 20 years, offering a private clinic and shoe store combination. Family owned and operated by Karey Fleming, pedorthist and Richard Fleming, who have built a primarily biomechanical clinic, we introduced podiatry in 2018 with great success. We also offer foot care nursing and reflexology. We have become known as a one-stop foot shop.

In May 2019, we expanded duplicating the clinic and shoe store in Truro, NS which became popular quickly. We are now looking for a second podiatrist who will work primarily in the New Glasgow office. Our current podiatrist is covering both locations.

This is a unique opportunity for an intrinsically motivated individual who is community-centered and has the confidence and ability to represent themselves to local doctors and speak at events in the community. Regular salary of $50 000 CA is the starting point for the initial 2 years to become proficient at custom orthotic therapy and prove what you bring to the table. If you are fully trained with years of experience in biomechanics and orthotic therapy, the salary would be negotiable. After 2 years time, there is an opportunity for a number of payment/ownership/bonus options. If this sounds at all interesting, please start by reviewing our very active Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/HealthWalks/ to see if you can see yourself fitting in here with our team and our customers. We believe in doing serious things in fun ways!

If you feel you are a good match, a team player and your ego is in check, send your resume to karey@healthwalks.ca with a paragraph about your interest in rural Nova Scotia where cost of living is lower. If there appears to be a match, a Skype discussion will follow immediately. Come join our dynamic team and live the slower paced life of Nova Scotia! See more details here:
