Come and work in beautiful Hobart!

The Podiatry South (Tas) department is looking for a new permanent full-time team member! We have a large team for a small place because we work across community, subacute outpatient, and inpatient areas. We have a focus on the high risk foot, primary health, health promotion, and multidisciplinary care.

All of our team participates in the multidisciplinary High Risk Foot Clinic, attached to the Royal Hobart Hospital. It has been running for more than 20 years and is working towards accreditation. Our nearly daily foot ulcer clinics are supported by Podiatry Assistants, an Orthotist, and an orthotic lab technician. We have a fully stocked orthotic lab and make our own accommodative orthotics. We have a Total Contact Casting Clinic. We do rural and remote community clinics (and travel time is included). We have nail surgery and biomechanical clinics. We have many opportunities for health promotion (when Covid doesn't get in the way). We are supported to do post-graduate education and have a number of endorsed prescribing podiatrists already; other staff members have obtained Graduate Diplomas and Masters. We have a supervision/mentoring process to support new staff.

If all of that isn't enough to entice you then just look at how great Hobart is - mountains, beaches, forests, markets and fresh food right at your door, excellent restaurants, MONA and other amazing arts and crafts.

Applicants welcome from countries with equivalent degrees eligible for registration in Australia.
Looking forward to working with you!

    Helen
